… Parents Salute Passion, Excellence of Teachers

Parents and guardians of Supreme Pillars Schools assert that the biggest blessing gotten from the Age-Mowo, Badagry axis of Lagos State is the excellence and passion of the teachers of the school in the discharge of their duties in the process of imparting knowledge to students in various categories.

This statement was made by Pastor Akinwa during the admonition and prayers for graduating students in the graduation and valedictory service held on Saturday.

Other parents who spoke with Global Horizon reporters were full of praise for the Proprietor of the school Mr Akande Kamal, whom they described as a God-fearing man whose passion for young people has gone a long way to instil love, ethics, discipline and high-quality education into students of the school which consists of Nursery, Primary, Junior and Senior Secondary.

According to one Mrs Salami whose daughter came out as the best graduating student in science in Junior Secondary, the experience of Mr Kamal as a former President of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) is a contributing factor to his drive and dexterity for excellence in the line of duty.

In a short interview with Mr Rasheed Aremu, the Principal of the Secondary section of the schools which is situated on approximately eight plots of land, he asserted that teaching students from different backgrounds and making the best to show up in them takes devotion and sacrifice.

He stated that passion and professionalism in the process of educating students are paramount in Supreme Pillars Schools.

He was also full of gratitude to Mr Kamal for his ability to instil religious tolerance as a module which has been engraved in the hearts of students and teachers, no matter the faith which they practice.

This technique was used to create Jumat service for Muslims and Friday Fellowship for Christians, both for students and teachers.

In a facility inspection conducted by the Principal, newsmen were thrilled to see the computer, physics, chemistry and biology labs of the school which speak volumes in terms of qualitative education.

Global Horizon reporters were also treated to a cocktail of elocution as students spoke languages including English, Arabic, Yoruba and Egun fluently during the valedictory program presentation.

Students also had cultural dances in Yoruba, Igbo, and Egun ethnic languages.

Morning reflection which is a trending addition to the school’s curriculum, was presented on different topics to the amazement of parents and guests.

It could be recalled that Supreme Pillars College is a government-approved institution, a certified WAEC centre and a member of the Joint Private Schools Unified Termly Examination (JPUTE) that prepares termly examination questions for private schools.

JPUTE, is currently chaired by Mr Akande Kamal.
