David Umahi Defrauds Client of 250 million Naira…

…Harasses Woman Sexually, Indulges in Use of Police Intimidation

The Hon. Minister of Works David Umahi is being dragged publicly by a woman named Tracy Ohiri for refusing to pay her for items worth two hundred- and fifty-million-naira (250 million naira.) which she supplied in an agreed contract.

In a video trending on social media Mrs Ohiri told the pressmen and Social Media Activists that while Umahi was yet serving as the Governor of Ebonyi State, he contracted her for the supplies and promised to pay.

According to Mrs Tracy, rather than pay for the items supplied, Mr Umahi opted to date her specifically demanding sex. Upon Tracy’s refusal to oblige the Minister of his proposals, he declined paying for the supplies despite all pleas even at the point when the woman’s father was critically ill and in need of medical attention.

Tracy Ohiri who is currently breastfeeding a baby said that she was arrested at her home in Ebonyi State and taken to Abuja, where she was detained and later arraigned before a magistrate’s court in Abuja.

Facts have it that the court granted Tracy bail on the condition that she would be produced by Mr Omoyele Sowore when needed.

However, the police and some staff of Kuje Correctional Centre claimed that there was a warrant that Tracy Ohiri be taken and remanded in prison till further notice, thereby attempting to defile court orders.

Other activists including Martins Vincent Otse (VDM) joined Sowore to resist the rearrest of the fragile woman who had fainted in the courtyard and was taken to the hospital for resuscitation.

A cluster of protesters was seen at the front of the hospital where Mrs Ohiri was recuperating chanting a song of solidarity.

At the hospital lso Senator Ireti Kingibe who promised to put her weight behind Tracy and ensure that justice is done in this matter.

It could be recalled that the act of sexual harassment, use of the Nigeria Police and the oppression of citizens especially women by Nigerian politicians is fast becoming a pattern.

Calls are on social media by concerned Nigerians demanding that the Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led All Progressive Congress (APC) do something drastic to stop government officials from continuing these wicked acts of using the police to carry out their nefarious intentions in harassing women and other innocent citizens of Nigeria.
